Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 21, 2025
Introduction
Cranes24 (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a mobile app and related services that facilitate crane bookings and related logistics. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using our app and services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described below.

1. Scope and Acceptance

This Policy applies to information collected via the Cranes24 mobile app and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from our app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information (collected when you register or book):

• Full name;
• Email address;
• Phone number;
• Company/business name (if provided);
• Payment information when you use payment services (handled by third-party payment processors).

2.2 Location Information:

• Precise device location (GPS and network-based) when you consent, to enable booking, route tracking, and to match you with nearby crane providers. You may choose to provide approximate location or disable precise location; some features may be limited as a result.

2.3 Usage & Device Data:

• Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, app version, logs, crash reports, and feature usage data to monitor and improve performance.

2.4 Communications & Support Data:

• Messages between users and support, including recordings or logs of calls if you use in-app calling, to resolve issues and improve service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data for the following legitimate business purposes:
• To provide and fulfil crane booking services, including communication between customers and crane operators;
• To provide in-app navigation, location tracking of crane service, and ETA calculations;
• To process payments (via third-party processors) and invoice generation;
• To send booking confirmations, status updates, receipts, and service-related notifications;
• To respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and detect/prevent fraud or abuse;
• To improve the app, perform analytics, and develop new features;
• To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests by authorities.

4. Legal Basis (where applicable)

When required by law, we rely on the user’s consent (e.g., for precise location) or legitimate interests (e.g., to provide the service, fraud prevention). For EU/EEA users, the relevant legal bases (consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interest, legal obligation) will be applied as appropriate.

5. Prominent Disclosure & User Consent (In-App Requirements)

To comply with applicable laws and Google Play policies, Cranes24 provides a clear and conspicuous in-app Prominent Disclosure before collecting or transmitting any personal or sensitive information, including precise device location, identity information, and contact details.

This in-app disclosure:
• Appears at the time of first use of any feature that requires such data (for example, when initiating a crane booking, enabling live tracking, or allowing location-based service recommendations).
• Is separate from this Privacy Policy and is displayed in a standalone notice or pop-up within the app.
• Clearly states the type of data being collected, the purpose of such collection, how the data will be used, and whether it will be shared with crane operators or service partners solely for fulfilling the requested service.
• Does not rely on user navigation, is not hidden in settings or menus, and is presented in a format that is easily noticeable and understandable.

We only proceed with accessing or processing personal or sensitive data after obtaining the user’s explicit, affirmative consent through a clear action (e.g., tapping “Allow & Continue” or “I Agree”). Users who decline permission will still be able to access parts of the app that do not require such data, and may grant permissions later through app or device settings.

This consent is recorded and remains revocable at any time. Disabling permissions such as location may limit certain core functionalities, such as real-time service availability, live tracking, or accurate crane allocation.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

6.1 Service Providers: We share the minimum necessary personal data with crane operators, payment processors, cloud and analytics providers, and other service providers who help us deliver our service. These providers process data under contract and only on our instructions.

6.2 Legal Requirements: We may disclose data to law enforcement, courts, or regulatory bodies when required by law or to protect our rights.

6.3 Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction under confidentiality obligations.

6.4 No Selling of Personal Data: We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for advertising or other purposes without your explicit consent.

7. Data Retention

7.1 General Retention:

Your personal information (such as name, email, phone number, and booking details) is retained until you delete your account or request deletion of your data, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

7.2 User-Requested Deletion:

Upon receiving an account deletion or data deletion request, we will permanently delete or anonymize your personal data. However, certain information may still be retained strictly for:
• Compliance with applicable laws (such as taxation, bookkeeping, and mandatory record-keeping requirements),
